Franklin Templeton Appoints Head of Retail for Australia

Sydney, 24 January 2019:

Franklin Templeton Australia has announced the appointment of Manuel (Manny) Damianakis to the role of Head of Retail for the Australian market. Based in Sydney, Mr. Damianakis will be responsible for driving the
firm’s retail strategy, focusing on the delivery of Franklin Templeton’s extensive range of investment capabilities to Financial Advisers in Australia and New Zealand. Reporting into Matthew Harrison, Managing Director for
Franklin Templeton Australia, Mr. Damianakis will play a pivotal part in evolving the firm’s retail strategy and positioning for continued growth. He will also be a key member of the Australian executive team.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Mr. Damianakis was most recently Head of Retail Business at AMP Capital where he was responsible for the development and execution of AMP Capital’s retail strategy. Prior to his role at AMP Capital, he held the role of Northern Regional Sales Manager at Vanguard Investments Australia. Mr. Damianakis has over 20 years of experience in financial services, including working as a financial planner
earlier in his career.
