Ashton Reid, CFA

Ashton is a Portfolio Manager on the Australian Property Securities, Australian Real Income and Global Real Income strategies at ClearBridge Investments. He is also responsible for coverage of Australian listed property and infrastructure.

He joined the firm in 1997 and the investment industry in 1992.

Ashton began his tenure as a Research Analyst at JPMorgan Investment Management, before it became Salomon Smith Barney, and subsequently Citigroup Asset Management. Citigroup then transitioned into Legg Mason Australia and later integrated into Martin Currie and during this time he was named Portfolio Manager. Martin Currie became part of ClearBridge in 2025. Prior to this, he was a Performance Analyst at Prudential Portfolio Managers and held a Portfolio Management Support role at National Australia Asset Management.

Ashton received a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University. He is a CFA® charterholder, CPA and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
