Reece Birtles, CFA

Reece co-manages numerous Australian and Global strategies and is the Head of Australian Equities at ClearBridge Investments.

He joined the firm in 1995 and the investment industry in 1992.

Reece began his tenure as an Equity Research Analyst at JPMorgan Investment Management, before it became Salomon Smith Barney, and subsequently Citigroup Asset Management. At Citigroup he was named Head of Financials Research and Head of European Equities as well as a Portfolio Manager. Citigroup consequently transitioned into Legg Mason Australia and later integrated into Martin Currie and during this time he was Chief Investment Officer for Australian equities. Martin Currie then became part of ClearBridge in 2025. Prior to this, he was an Analyst at Ford Credit Australia.

Reece received a Master of Finance and a Bachelor of Business in economics and finance from RMIT University. He is a CFA® charterholder and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
